Child Safe Standards Mini-Series and resource toolkit

Child Safe Standards Mini-Series and resource toolkit

Welcome to the Child Safe Standards Mini Learning Series

This learning series has been developed by ACA Qld to support early childhood services in understanding, implementing and embedding the 10 Child Safe Standards and Universal Principle into everyday practice.

The series includes:

  1. An introductory overview session
  2. Individual training videos for each of the 10 Child Safe Standards
  3. A practical 10-week implementation checklist
  4. Supporting resources and reference materials

These resources are designed to support educators, leadership teams, students and volunteers to strengthen child safe practices, reflect on current systems and promote a culture where children’s safety, wellbeing and cultural safety remain at the centre of everything we do.

The standards align closely with the National Quality Framework and provide practical guidance to support continuous improvement across all areas of service delivery.

We encourage all team members to:
  1. Watch each video and reflect on current practice
  2. Engage in team discussions and reflective conversations
  3. Consider how the standards are already embedded within the service
  4. Identify opportunities for ongoing improvement

Thank you for your continued commitment to creating safe, inclusive and supportive environments for all children and families.
